* Windows driver ver 2.9 This file describes normal monitor installation procedures for Windows 95 & 98 and 3.1. Use these procedures when installing Samsung SyncMaster and SAMTRON monitors. I.Windows 95 1) USING INSTALLATION S/W - Insert Installation Disk into your Computer. - Run "install.exe". - Select your monitor model. - On "Warning" Screen, Click "Install" Button. - On "Insert Disk" Screen, Type full path name for the Installation Disk to install the ICM Profile. and Click "OK" Button. - Click "OK" Button for continuing install. - On "Window needed to be restarted Do you want to restart window right now?" Screen Click "OK" Button for completing installation. * Note : We recommend you to restart window right now for using the driver setting corretly. 2) MANUAL MONITOR INSTALLATION PROCEDURE - Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel. - Start the "Display" applet program. - Select the "Settings" page and select the "Change Display Type" button. * Note : If "Advanced Properties" appears on this "Settings" window, use the instructions for Windows 98. - Select the "Change" button in the "Monitor Type" area. - Select the "Have Disk" button and press "OK". - Specify the path to the INF file and press the key: Example 1: Insert the disk in the A: floppy drive, and enter A:\. Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you copied the INF file, either on your local hard drive or on a network share. Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the INF file is, choose the "Browse..." button to find it. - The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Choose "Show all devices" Select the monitor that corresponds to the one you connected to your computer and click OK. - Type full path name for the Installation Disk to install the ICM Profile. Windows 95 will copy the INF file and the ICM Profile to the proper directory on your system. - Continue choosing "Close" button until you close the Display Properties dialog box. * Note : Reboot the system to use the new driver. II. Windows 98 1) USING INSTALLATION S/W - Insert Installation Disk into your Computer. - Run "install.exe". - Select your monitor model. - On "Warning" Screen, Click "Install" Button. - On "Insert Disk" Screen, Type full path name for the Installation Disk to install the ICM Profile. and Click "OK" Button. - Click "OK" Button for continuing install. - On "Window needed to be restarted Do you want to restart window right now?" (You can get some other screen for warning message or others,then click the appreciate option for your monitor) III. Windows 3.1 1. After the Display Adapter has been installed properly click on the proper refresh rate for Your Monitor by following the next procedures. 2. Click refresh frequency in the Video Adapter Utility which was provided by the Video Adaptor Company to change it . * Note : Some Video Adapters may provide a utility disk for DOS installation to change the refresh rate. For possible Refresh rates refer to the Samsung monitor specification in the User's manual. 3. If you have changed the adapter settings, you must restart windows 3.1.
