Use Emergency Disks to solve problems before you install. NOTE: It is always better to use Rescue Disks made on the problem machine if you have them. Rescue Disks contain machine-specific information and can solve problems easier than Emergency disks. Make Emergency Disks from the Support folder of the product CD. You will need several formatted 1.44 MB disks. You will need one disk for each .IMG file in this folder. ********************************************************************** To make Emergency Disks ======================= CAUTION: Perform the following procedure on a different computer from the one with the problem. Executing these steps might cause additional problems. 1. Insert the product CD into the CD-ROM drive. 2. Click Browse the CD. 3. Double-click the Support folder. 4. Double-click the Edisk folder. 5. Double-click Ned.exe 6. Follow the on-screen instructions. To use the Emergency Disks: =========================== 1. If your computer is running, click the Start button, select Shut Down, and then select the Shut Down option. When Windows has shut down, switch off your computer using the power switch. 2. Insert Emergency Disk 1 in your floppy drive, and then switch on your computer. 3. Follow the on-screen instructions. **********************************************************************
